The concept of "sabiigue" ‘childhood’ in the Kabardian-Cherkessian ethnoculture

The issues of the connection between language, thinking and the spiritual culture of an ethnic group are both traditional and relevant in modern linguistics. This paper examines the construction of a conceptual model of the concept of "sabiigue" ‘childhood’ in Kabardino-Circassian linguoculture. The research is based on a semantic analysis of the verbalization of the concept "sabiigue" ‘childhood’, which is a single category that includes linguistic units present in the consciousness of each individual, which describes the core of the concept, the near and far periphery based on the identified conceptual features. As is well known, a concept is one of the key categories in cognitive linguistics, which studies cognitive processes and their way of expression. Language, as a tool for studying mental activity, cognitive systems, and signs, is the main way of perceiving and processing information in the mind. This study reveals the diverse representation of the concept "sabiigue" ‘childhood’ in the Kabardian-Cherkessian linguistic culture.
