Experience of the "Kosygin" reform at the Tyrnyauz Mining and Metallurgical Combination

Based on archival data, the article examines the process of introducing the provisions of the "Kosygin" reform into the economic practice of the Tyrnyauz tungsten-molybdenum plant, as stipulated by the resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Council of Ministers of the USSR dated October 4, 1965, No. 729 "On improving planning and strengthening the economic incentives for industrial production." TVMK was transferred to new planning and economic incentive conditions on July 1, 1968. During this period, the company received new tunneling equipment, and economic incentive measures led to its accelerated development with the establishment of an All-Union record in 1970. The authors analyze this activity and compare it with elements of the Stakhanov movement during the second five-year plan of 1932–1937 in the USSR.
